Em comemoração ao 40º Dia da Terra, que será na próxima quinta-feira (22), a ILCP - International League of Conservation Photographers – selecionou as 40 fotografias de natureza mais belas de todos os tempos.
A escolha das 40 melhores imagens foi feita por integrantes da ILCP, diga-se de passagem, os mais renomados fotógrafos de natureza do mundo. Boa parte dessas fotos foi doada por fotógrafos da Liga, entre elas estão fotos famosas do século 20. Muitas delas serão leiloadas na próxima quinta-feira na Christie's do Rockefeller Center, NY. O leilão intitulado Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth (Leilão Verde: Um Lance para Salvar a Terra") terá seus lucros repartidos entre as quatro organizações ambientais a seguir: Central Park Conservancy, Conservation Internacional, Natural Resources Defense Council e Oceana.
